The Gunma Symphony Orchestra has developed a wide range of musical activities, including regular concerts and traveling music classes, and is widely supported by the citizens of Gunma Prefecture as a symbol of its culture.It celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2020.
In addition, we have moved our base of activities to the Takasaki City Theatre, which opened in September 2019, and are aiming to further advance and improve our performance activities under the direction of Norichika Iimori, who will be appointed as permanent conductor in April 9.

The Gunma Symphony Orchestra aims to be "a representative orchestra of Japan that is rooted in the local community," and conducts activities that contribute to the emotional education of children and students through mobile music classes, etc., and activities that enhance artistry such as Subscription Concerts.
